Community Offerings Protocol Reminder

Content LEADERs, Artists, and Purveyors of PLC Love the World Over,

Based on scheduling conversations with Julia and Jessica this week we are at a point where we need input on next year’s potential community offerings.

Our timeline for scheduling is aggressive in order to be prepared for supporting student needs, staffing allocation, and teacher planning. Click here to see the timeline for scheduling.

In order to get meaningful feedback from teams we ask that you engage in a team protocol that allows for everyone on the team to have time to look at the Community Offerings Book, KDE approved courses, and evaluate the implications of future courses on the department vision.

As many of you are planning to evaluate assessments this week in PLCs I ask that you find time with your team in the next few weeks before Thanksgiving to meaningfully consider course offerings. With that said, we do not necessarily need to offer additional courses in all subject areas. If you feel like the current course offerings need to continue to be refined and developed before recommending additional offerings then say that. If you feel like there are meaningful gaps, then acknowledge that in the protocol.

Here is the protocol that I am asking every team to complete by December 1st:

I have also added the protocol to the PLC Quarterly Outcomes Sheet.
